Hey gang,
so my latest program has about 58 sequences in it with no songs.
I'm adding part to one sequence, and all of a sudden, the timing start speeding up and slowing down like a mudderphucker.
I almost paniced!!
I remembered something from the manual, and I checked the midi input filter section. Sure enough it talks about channel pressure (aftertouch) clogging up the sequencer memory and to turn it off if you aren't using it.
My Midi controller sends aftertouch, but only it and one other synth and one sampler respond to after touch. But I don't use it that much. But with the aftertouch not filtered, all sequencer tracks record it and transmit it, even if the unit you are sequencing doesn't respond to it or need it.
So I had been overloading my sequence memory with this shit like mad.
I went back through the sequence, hit the erase key, and selected all except notes and erased all the superfluous AT data.
Problem solved, lesson learned.
