Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000
By Luigi Thu Nov 16, 2006 9:19 pm
Yo, I got a zip internal disk drive for my PC and a Zip drive to ma 2000xl.

The problem is I cant view the content of the zip on the computer. I save a wav on the disk from the MP but windows keep sayin that the zip aint formated.

It all worked before, then I put in a new harddrive and it stopped workin. Windows finds the drive and everything.

peace.

That explains it all, a zip formatted on an os 1.14 mpc can't be read on a pc (xp) you need to format the zip on the pc that way it can both be read/written by the pc and the MPC.

put the zip disk in the mpc and hold down the shift button the press 3 (load) at the bottom of the screen it has a format option with the F3 button

I can format the disk in the mpc, but the problem is that I cant read it on the PC then, and I cant download the new OS because I cant read PC formated disk on my mpc.. so im in shit :-p

is there anyway to get the new os or reading mpc formated disks on xp wothout needing to install another windows version, I got XP.

oh my bad, i misread your post. format the zip disk in your pc but you must format using Fat32 not NTFS
