my cf drive broke

i got really tired of trying to source a new one

bought a hd and never looked back

new o.s. can be loaded from the hard disk by dumping it on there with the usb cable then going to to MODE>LOAD and highlighting the .bin file

no need for a cf card ever again

i still use cf card cuz my daw isn't hooked up to the internet

Ok < i did a test to see if I could down grade to 1.07 went fine.But .....yeah big BUT! now I can't upgrade to 2.10. I've tryed everything to upload,fro reformatting to placing OS in folders you name. Any Idea's guys.

Aw man, thats gonna be a tough one T, coz: The AKAI OS don't allow to install an OS from any other source than the CF Card... Only the JJ OS supports installing straight from HD! But the problem is, to do so, you already gotta have an earlier JJ OS installed via CF Card. So, even with a later HD installed to your MPC you would still be screwed, cause you can't change the OS no matter what... So now you're sitting on OS 1.07??? Oh man... my condolescence

PS: Who told you to switch to JJ OS 2 months ago? ;)
