mixer to pc question

ill make it quick....without buying a fire wire mixer or usb.....how do i connect an analog mixer to my computer to record in protools.....and how is the quailty......do i need to buy an expensive sound card...what would i need to have a good sound

im gonna assume you mean pt le and without a digi interface you cant run it so you'll need to get one...

I second cooocooo1, Your need the digi interface unless your running PT Free on Windows 98 and I hope thats not the case...........Once you get a digi interface holla back at us.....its rather simple depending on the mixer .....
