I have been makeing my songs in the mpc and haveing them pre mixed in the mpc then i just record the song as one track into cubase....

Then have some one come over ot lay down vocals good idea or bad...

I don't have the 8 outs so its like 10 timeslonger to record each track seprately...

If that style works for you & the end results are good then why not continue doing that.

If you get the 8 outs it will make your task easier but it depends on how you want to proceed with it.

Every producer has their own method, use the method that is the most efficient for yourself.

Good luck.

I'd get the 8 outs. It's easiest to track out and mix. If your even thinking about having it mixed at a studio by an engineer you'll need it tracked out. Then again thats just from my experience with engineers I've come across.

k guys check it out... id rather not make a new thread for this question...
i heard what 8 outs does is basically enable u to seperate the kick snare hgh hat and every track used basically
and obviously with that u could control the volume of each track with a mixer...
if a person decided to buy a 8 track work station.... would it be worth it to buy the mpcs 8 outs?

Installing them's extremely easy. Took me maybe 20mins.

yes it's worth it.The 8 track workstation won't help separating any sounds on the mpc. You'd have to record each track manually(one at a time). Also with the eight outs you can record to eight individual tracks simultaneously. I've tried tracking out before I had eight outs and that was a bigger task than it needed to be. Simplify the task and get the 8 outs.
