Swing Feel?

This may be a stupid ? to some but here goes...

What quantize do I use to get that Go Go music feel? You know like the real good swing or 12/16 type of swing?

Go Go? Like the band "The Go-Go's?"

nah i think he means bands like trouble-funk and all those early eightees cats.....

try a dif time signature?

LOL, not the GO's Go's... Yeah like Trouble Funk, Chuck Brown, and a lot of the New Jack Swing music from the 90's with Teddy Riley. I think I found it on the MPC 1000 it was easy I missed it. All I had to do was tweek the swing %...duh

its all about tempo but try around 65% for that tripping over sort of effect....you may have to use triplets on certain hits....but start with a swing of over 60% id say...

LOL...GoGo is the music cats listen to in the Wahington DC area, my brother in law is all into that shit.
