how do you isolate specific instruments in a sample?

You can't. You can use filters and eq to try to isolate them as best you can, but you cannot actually eliminate all the other sounds, you can only soften them a little.

it depends how something is originally recorded. Sometimes the sounds from older stereo records have completely different sounds coming out the right speaker and the left. you gotta listen for that. also depending how the song was originally put together voice cancellers can lower the volumes of certain sounds.
I know some people on the net that are able to take acapellas/instrumentals from a song, using software. But no matter what u will almost always be left with a trace of the sounds you tried to get rid of.

voice canceller is that function on the 1000?

no, but i wouldn;t invest money in a voice canceller. it just isnt worth it, they dont usually work that good.

how do u fix a bug. cuz on my other 1000 note repeat doesnt work. when i tap it. it doesnt change the bpm. this doesnt allow me to record a sequence and when i press the main button another button will light up. it just a mess.

if it seems like i dont know wtf im talkin bout, itz cuz i dont, but what if you replayed that same instrument you are trying to isolate? i dont know...play the song and then find the sound on your synth, and play along to it...what i just said is a question more than anything...
