I don't think so. I believe you can only solo or mute tracks, not pads.
If I understand you correctly, it sounds like you have a couple of instruments on one track and you trying to solo one of them....if this is the case your going to have to track every sound or added element of your sequences to different tracks this will solve your problem.

DNBT. Right I see.
yeah I know what you want to do mate.... Spirez found this little gem out.
You are on track 1 making your beat up with ... say 5 samples in use. 1 on pad 1, 2 on pad 2 etc.
copy this track 5 times to five different tracks.
go to the 1st track. hit erase key. hit pads 2-5. hit do it. now you are left with only the 1st sample on this track.
go to the 2nd track. hit erase key. hit pads 1,3,4,5. hit do it. now you are left with only the 2nd sample on this track.
now you have split the track across 5 tracks, each with an individual sample on it.
now you can use track mute function to mute / solo these.
not quite what you wanted but it gets you where you wanted.
the other thing of course is to use the Mixers faders but thats not proper mute /solo.
you may even be able to do somethign clever with the mute target group - but i never use that feature so youd ahve to have a play.
