I use the Roland XV-5080 and Fantom XR, Yamaha Motif ES rack, and Proteus 2000. In addition to that, I use Battery, Reason, Nuendo, Digital Performer, and Mach 5....

I have 8 port Motu Midi interface which does all me hardware - see sig.
then also have the MPC sync'd to Cubase which has shed loads of Vsts. native Ins set. Uberschall PLP /Vlp etc. Korg collection. steinbergs set.

have a look at the korg triton Le k-board- i was going to get a motif but ended up with a triton. very similar.

You do know that you can buy several Lil Fatty's for the price of an Omega 8.

i enjoy it... it sounds pretty cool man... it is my trigger... i bought it a few months before the omega... next to the omega, i def use the omega much more...

i think the phatty is a great piece of analog gear to get you goin... it sounds real which is real important... it sits in a mix well too... for 1400 it's something to hold onto... it's a joy to play and look at... pics don't do it justice

if you want something to compare it to, check out the studio electronics se1x... no keys but that synth produces some sick leads and bass... real analog... and can be had for around the same price...

if yo got some loot... get the omega 8... i had mine customed and i will keep it till i die... 6 voices... it sits in a mix so well it's tuly amazing...

An Omega 8 is 8 monosynths already. In Shane's case you have 6. Amazing product. You can also get a 303 arp2600 or cs80 filters for it.

I've got my mpc set up like udenjoe.
Mpc2500 mid out to access virus C and back to mpc.
Virus and mpc audio to 01X mixer for tracking to cubase sx.
Mpc audio out 1 to 6 to 01X and 7 and 8 to virus input for filtering.

I've also got an emu e5000 , some soft synths , an electribe er1 another mpc1000 , etc... but somehow i allways go back to just these two pieces.
Drums on mpc and synths on the virus.
The virus can handle everything ,phat bass , leads , FX , strange noizes and you can use 16 patches at the same time.
Combined with the sequencer and the punchy drums from the mpc it's the perfect match.
At least for me it is :D .
Greetz...
