MIDI Time Code

Hi Guys

Quick question. Does anybody know if it's possible to sync the MPC to Logic using MIDI Time Code. I have it working using MIDI Clock but need MIDI Time Code working. I know there's an option for it in the Sync page but i can't seem to get it to work. I know my Logic side is all correct so it must be something on the MPC.

You will have to set the MPC as a Master and Logic will sync to it.

If you set the MPC as the slave, you need to turn on MMC send and receive. You will need to press play on the MPC which will wait until it receives an MTC signal. Once Logic transmit MTC, the MPC will start. However, you can not stop the MPC from Logic. This is the flaw and we are waiting for a fix.

The JJ OS is more improved in this regard. But you have to try it at your own risk, since it is not officially supported by Akai.

if you want to use Logic as an MTC master, use JJ's OS until Akai fixes their OS.

We've been waiting for months for Akai to fix this...

Be nice? I don't know you. You are a new forum member. With your very first few posts, you said some shIt that was out of line. Its ok to disagree with someone, but once you start tossing insults and saying some slick sh!t on the internet...I won't let that slide.

And still, you have yet to really contribute anything to this forum. Have you helped one person? It doesn't appear that way. ALL your posts are about the same thing...you keep repeating the same thing. duh

You mean..negative like the statement above...or do you mean how you repeat in all your threads how much you can't stand Akai??

You already told me English isn't your first language....so I am just trying to make sure that I am understanding your thoughts as you express them.

So, you are unhappy because you have to press the STOP button on your MPC once it is triggered via an MTC master..and you have no other issues?? Is that correct? Because I remember you writing how you keep loosing projects...or something like that. And since you actually use the JJ OS, you really don't have a problem at all.....

So which is it?

Relax? That's what you should be doing. Its seems as if you are falling back a little since you've noticed that many people are paying no attention to your rants. And quite honestly, I am happy that you found a certain comfort level with your MPC....finally. Just keep in mind that the MPC is not essential to music production. There are other tools you can use. So if the MPC doesn't do it for you, get rid of it and find something that will. You make too much money from scoring movies and recording major artists to let a $1600 drum machine interfere with your creative process.

It's quite clear what I am after. More focus on what the MPC can do...how to maximize its capabilities in the studio.

Less complaining about things no one here has any power over..at least not in every single thread. But of course (as long as the mods allow) you are free to continue to write what you want...and the same goes for me

As far as my imagination....you just surfaced in the forums out of nowhere...like all these threads about the MV. I imagine that both are related in some way...
