PROPOSAL FOR AN IMPROVED PAD DESIGN (AKAI PLEASE TAKE NOTES)

i've learned that the sensors and sensor board used in our mpc1000s are not the same sensing principal used in all other mpcs. the other mpcs use INTERLINK sensors (or at least that's an american brand of the same type of sensor).

unless akai gives us an interlink sensing system the same as the older mpcs, we will never has as perfect pads.

however, we can get the most out of the existing hardware, which IMO would not be that terrible. our pads at their best would be acceptable if the design was a little better.

so again - interlink of home remedy. the need for this is obvious. until then, i'll show how anyone with a brain could design a better method than what came in our 1000s.

man i hope they make it like the other mpc's , ALL IN ONE SHEET haha it wont hurt to try , i think it could mos def work !

it's more than all in one sheet. it's a whole new system we need. FSRs, not these goofy copper conductors

damn you just dashed just dashed my hopes

mine were dashed too at first. it's really just up to akai or someone with a lot of money on his hands to order something custom from interlink.

however, look at it this way. when the mpc 1000 pads are at their best as they are from akai, they're functional and satisfactory. when i'm done with them, they'll be even better and completely durable. although i'd prefer an interlink setup and would pay for one, i could make due with a custom design out of what we've got.

the mpc1000 is advertised as having the same "legendary velocity sensitive pads for expressive programming"

we DO NOT HAVE THE SAME PADS.
this is damn near lawsuit worthy for false advertising.

They really need to make 16 pad sheet for the 1k. Thats too much money for 16 pads, whereas the other mpc users pay way less. Akai should been done this.
