MPC 60mk11. Wouyld it be pointless getting this?

My hunch is it would be a bit pointless and am thinking an MPC60 would be for die hard MPC users only?
Spec wise it looks very limiting BUT there is one available on Ebay and I was sort of thinking about bidding.

To ask a blunt question, Why would anyone throw down wedge on an MPC 60 in thsi day and age? What makes this machine worth getting in your opinion

I don't even own an mpc yet, gettng the 500 tommorow, and I can tell you that. its the 12 bit sampling power that gives your sounds, especially drums, that hard grimey warmth of golden era rap. Its a sound that is hard to replicate and only found perfect in a few machines like this and the sp 1200.

Think of the limitations as a good thing, sometimes my 256 mb of ram on my mv 8k kills my creativity by letting me sample everything not, forcoring me to sample creatively.

Yeah, it is... Get a 1K, that is today's equipment... Unless you are doing alot of old school East Coast Wu Tang type of track's it's nothing to buy first.

Buy what you think will fit your needs. It's your capabilities that matter anyway. If it's what you want then you'll make it work.

I thought the best thing about the MPC 60 was the sequencer. Could be wrong because I have never owned a 60, but I see alot of people bring up the Roger Linn leaving Akai topic, and how the sequencers on the newer MPC's aren't the same. If it was just for the sound, people would just pick up Akai s-900's and s-950's, like I did.
