System Test Message

This may have been addressed a million times, but I have searched the thread and couldn't find it. But, I just recently purchased the 2500 from ebay it was only a month old and barely used, it was working fine until last night....I keep getting a "System Test" message when I turn the machine on and it won't go away....Anything I can do, other than bringing it in for service?

I can't update the OS because the MPC does not boot up. The System Test appears and it won't progress any further, therefore I can't load anything or do anything else...
