Finally, I get to chat with an actual MPC 2500 user (or so you claim). Since you disappeared for a few seconds...I take it that you have figured out how to use your DAW and MPC together. If not, holla at cha boy. I am about to add Logic Pro 7 to my set-up so I will be able to help you trouble shoot your system next time you have some issues. But if I am to help you, you have to help yourself. I have been waiting for week(s) for you to send me your complex MIDI drum pattern

Red Ketchup dude...as far as what you think about me....don't care. Your continued insults....don't bother me, but I will not help you anymore until you show some respect. Also, you should only write things that you would be willing to say to someone's face. I offer this advice because once you step out and interact with people, you might get slapped saying some of the things you write. And I really do care about MPC 2500 users. I would hate to hear about you getting pimped slapped or having a size 12 shoe getting surgically removed from your rear-end for running your mouth.

As far as the MIDI file....go back and read again. I made that offer to both of you guys having problems with MIDI. Obvisously, you didn't take me up on the offer. I was only trying to give you tech support since you claimed you were having problems with Akai and getting your set-up to work. Wow..today, people don't appreciate anything

As far as being bullied as a child...sorry, that didn't happen. Well, actually, I use to get chased by this big girl, but that is a long and humerous story and would take this thread in yet another direction. PM me if you want to know the story..okay.

Is Oklahoma considered middle America? I don't know. You will have to help me out with that one. However, from my knowledge, you don't get shot for your opinion. But, where I come from, you will get smacked up for saying some of the things you've written in the forums. I was just giving you advice to prevent that from happening to you in the future. So be careful. You really should practice only writing what you would say to someone's face. I find many things funny, but there are people who do not. Since you are French and English is your second language, you may not fully understand what you are writing. So again, I am trying to help you out. My spouse is not a native English speaker and some of her words are not appropriate in certain situations. I give her a similar speech.

You have the option of using OS 1.22 where you can move your notes and save the new sequence file. Re-install JJ OS, and reload the sequence for futher editing.

Well for the first JJ OS on the 2500. I must admit, they have out done akai's tech crew! There are some features I miss, like not being able to record with the CD drive and tab tempo. Although, now 2500 can record all 88 keys.

If you installed OS 1.22 in your MPC 2500 and set a track to MIDI (vs drum), you should be able to record all 88 keys of a keyboard or controller. I thought this was fixed in an earlier OS....which one, I can't remember. But I just sat down at my MPC 2500 (OS 1.22) and Roland A-90 88-key controller to confirm that it works.

But you may not want to take my word for it. It seems I am in the minority when it comes to getting my MPC to work properly.

It states that a charged version of the JJ OS for the 2500 will be available in Jan 07

Its probably just me but......

1. No recent Beta Versions
2. No recent bug fixes
3. Missing OS 1.22 features

I find this announcement puzzling......

i think they just found Akai's TPM chip.
