mpc 1000 with M-Box

I'm thinking of moving up to 24 bits recording and get to know the pro tools that comes with the MBOX. Has anybody ever use the mpc 1000 with the mbox?

Ya I got that sh!t. The Mbox works nicely. Especially when you use Midi Clock to sync the MPC with Protools while you are recording the audio. You must remember that the MPC can't be the master to ProTools.

what kind of midi interface do you use?

i read on the digidesign website they only support usb midi interfaces, but not all...

Just for the record, I have an maudio audiophile 2496 and an Mbox. I use the audiophile for midi and the mbox for audio. They work very well togeather. Just be careful of what system you have. Digi is very picky about what mobo/chipset/processor you are using. I just wrestled with my mbox/usb power issue (wacky noise caused by not enough power from the usb bus). I was only able to cure it by reading many digi user group forum posts. Go take a look over there for as much info as you can find about system builds and similar issues. Other than that the mbox is a great device. If you are familiar with pro tools you will have a powerful setup.

Anyone looking to buy a Yamaha RY30, I need to dump it to afford an MPC1000...

I have the same set up as filterthing.

M-audio 2496 for midi interface and M Box for audio. And filterthing is right in mentioning that not all computer setups work for a MBox/Protools set up (Mad research required). Once you get past that the SKY's the limit ( especially when you are HIGH)

BTW Protools support more than USB midi interfaces.
