from the record i got, the melody is only on the left side... how can i "pan it" over to the right? if thats what it called... oh yeah i got the original 2000

idk its not workin right for me, right now i dont got a turntable so i got like seven seconds from a floppy disk, and when i tried panning to the right it didnt sound good at all, its the beginnin part from stairway to heaven

its been a minute since i used a 2k. but i think its in the trim screen, then highlight the name of the sample and open window.

do that sheet before you even sample. Sample the left mono side if thats where the sample is best

the classic 2000 doesn't have the the "sample to mono" feature?
if it don't just resample it in mono from the gate......

my bad if this has been answered already....
all you have to do is convert the sample to Mono inside your mpc. it will split the left and right channels. keep the channel with the melody u want.
this is the case with LOTS of music you may sample. If you're converting them to MONO inside your mpc, always check both channels (L/R) and choose the one that fits best with your beat. sometimes the left channel may have more...Guitar in it. sometimes the right may have a little more Drums in it. pick the best one for your beat.
