FX per track?

What about implementing FX per track? like you can do with the audio tracks.

hmmz.. would be cool but i don't like the effects anyway. Í think you get better results if you record your tracks on the computer and mix them with cubase or something with some good ass vst/dx plugins.

I thinks it would be better to do the seperate track explosion idea and export every track in one time on the CF card or something.. bwaah just dreaming.. Nym, gimme my blunt back!

here's something to steer you away from MPC effects. i read somewhere on these boards that the mpc's fx, when applied to a lot of pads, actually causes the seq to loop less accurately, like there's a little delay in between the end and the start of the seq.

that reason alone causes me to shy from fx, other than individual pad eq.

really.. it makes sense though, because if you have a slow computer and you run a lot of realtime vst/dx plugins through cubase your sequence is gonna play facked up!

yeah. makes me wish i could throw a better processor into my mpc and get better results. but shoot, i shy from the onboard fx anyway. however, i worry about what's gonna happen when i have a lot of qlink stuff going on in my mpc after we get grid editing.

i know the fx are pretty crappy but i always like to compress my drums straight away in order to feel the beat bounce as i build it up. i could always take the compression away later and get some good compression once i track it out.

yeah the compressor is okay.. but i just love EQ on the computer with this shit.. the eq's in the mpc kinda suck

if you REALLY wanted to use effects on each track of a sequence you could resample the track... lot of work to use subpar onboard effects though...

Probably a better idea to just track out dry and then process, as mentioned above, using the onboard effects as a way to feel your beat, then turning them off for tracking.
Or better yet incorporate some reamping to clean up your sound. An old valve or even vintage solidstate EQ, decent mic(s) and a range of amps/heads can give you so many options its amazing. (This could become a topic in its own right.)

And effects on individual outs 1, 2, 3, and 4, can only assign to stereo outs .

I know EXACTLY what you mean!

There are probably dsp limitations with the effects.

We asked for it on the machinedrum, elektron said it wasn't happening.

I doubt it would mess with the looping, but YOU read it.
