For any1 whos used other drum machines with a fill button

I know I loved the "fill" button on my old SR-16 and was dissapointed when my MPC didn't have one. Here's an easy workaround.

On a separate track, make a drum loop that includes all the drum sounds but make it have break down like a drummer would do. Now when you're playing your sequence and you want a "fill", solo that track, and bam, you have your own "fill" button... Hope this helps anyone who knows what I'm talking about.

yea, on other drum machines you still program your breaks for the "fill button", to use on the fly, so this is a workaround for a non exitstent "fill button" on the MPC.

yeah good idea. Plus if you have the track on mute, but then solo it, after you turn off the solo, it should still be on mute.

Also to help in programing fills, I usually make them in a separate sequence 1 bar at 1:4 or 2:4 time signature so that I can just throw them on the end of my main loops. Usually 1:4 which is actually a quarter of a 4:4 bar is sufficient enough. The bpms of the sequences are the same.
