my pc dont see the mpc harddisk

i just instaled a brand new toshiba 40g harddisk in my mpc 2500 and then connected to my pc with usb cable.
the pc see the removable disk but when i enter it says "drive don't found"

what i have to do ?

dunno, try mounting it?

can you see the CF card if you mount that instead? (LOAD- USB- MOUNT)

i see the card but not the hardisk ...
maybe i have to format it ?

Yup, you need to format it. You can do this on the MPC, it's in the Load menu somewhere IIRC.

ok i format the hard disk from mpc but the pc still don't see the partition ...

maybe i have to make a partition from a laptop ?

When you say partition what are you talking about? You're not trying to partition the HD in the MPC are you?

yeeee got it i see the hard disk now i just mount the hdd :)

this mpc is harder then i tought
