18 batteries in all. The Korg and the Novation go for a while on the cheapest of AAs... the MPC not so much... so I have been aquiring good rechargables...I have 12 so far.

oh yes - just the man i need to speak to. i should have guessed as i know you are the battery king. i posted this a little while back - http://www.mpc-forums.com/viewtopic.php ... highlight=

can you advise? im guessing there is NO WAY to sequence the xiosynth from the mpc500 as the xiosynth doesnt have a midi in...however if anyone would know, its you, seeing as you actually own both units. so please break it down for me!

also how you liking the synth section of the xio, is it better in your opinion than the xstation, and do the duracells in your xio get recharged over usb/dc?

tia!

Unfortunately, I'm not the man you need. I just got the Xio... and yes, I do not control it with the 500. I can use the MicroKorg for that. I have only used the Xio for live playing...messing around. I like the synth section for what I bought it for... little one finger /chorded pads and strings...and little noises...and for a controller (which I haven't used it as yet). I really bought it because it is so damn small and battery powered. Never played the X-Station and am not sure if the Xio will charge the batteries.
