Well u will need more than just a midi interface to transfer your songs over INLESS u already have an decent audio interface. I recommend an M-Audio 2496 if u are on a budget. If you arent on a budget then look at the other M-Audio soundcards available. ( www.m-audio.com )

But to be honest wit you if you have the 128mb of ram installed you could just resample your song and now it will become an .wav file that u can send over to your PC via USB.

Your choice in the end.

Nicole

NOTE:Midi is Data NOT Audio. You will need audio cables in order to even record the sounds from your mpc to the PC. Midi will allow you to sync your tracks if u plan on tracking out everything individually.

get a mixer/soundcard with midi ports quickes easiest way or or get a serial midi cable to connect directly to ur pc and get a ok sound card and plug ur outs from ur mpc in to the sound card but all in one box is easier

tha mpc1000 i got rite now is temporary, it was da display model at tha store.. and they ordered a fresh brand new one for me so i'll exchange it when it comes..

the XBOARD 61.. comes wit Cubase LE.. and Proteus X.. full software version.. but didnt work when installed, im guessin i need a hardware piece in order for it to work...

whats the x61 board is that a sound card cuz if it si then u shopuld be str8 but if that isnt a sound card seems like that what u need to comeplete ur setup for instance im using a tascam FW-1082 as my soundcard/mixer/midi device so it connects to the pc through firewire and that carries all signals to pc audio/midi/automated fader info now my mpcs is then hooked to the fw-1082 tin post1 in and out and my karms is in port 2 in/out now my motif has a usb midi so that goes straight to the pc the i use sonar as my sequencer so i go there and select all of my equip

ahhhh.. i see i see.. thanx for the help man..

also, i jus sent a email for expert help, but it was indepth.. so some1 here might help aswell...

"I recently bought the package and it came with Cubase LE, WaveLAB Lite and Proteus X.

I installed the Proteus X CD's and Cubase, but when i start up Cubase.. the ProteusX did not work. Im guessing i need to buy another hardware piece so that the proteusX can work. If so, what do i need??

Next question, about the MPC1000.

I bought it on the same day. What im trying to do is connect it to Cubase so i can save my beats via MP3/WAV. What do I need?

Last question.

Im planning on buying a sound module to connect via midi to my XBoard61.. and since my Xboard61 connects to my PC via USB already, im guessing that will already be set. Now with my mpc1000 to be connected to my PC aswell.. will everything be hooked up via Cubase LE and work all the same.

If you understand what im trying to get here, and have additional information, please help."
