Im lookin to get a mpc soon, and i wanted to kno... whats the easiest way to load samples into the machine? and which mpc is the best and easiest for that?

To me USB would be what u would be in need of. BUT u can make programs for your sounds so that would also cut back on time. All you would have to do is save the program then load it up in your MPC but the older model mpcs(mpc2000, xl, 60, and 3000) have a lil slower loading time.
But based on what u are asking then go for an mpc 500, mpc 1000, or mpc 2500.

ok then.... another ?.. i c alot of mpcs on ebay that are sold with external cd-drives, what are the advantages of that?

Nothing really cause u can ONLY LOAD from them and NOT SAVE to it. But the mpc2500 and mpc4000 both have internal cd drives and can allow loading and saving.

So can u load samples from you cmputer to external harddrive, and then to mpc?
or can you load from a cd in the the external cd drive, to mpc?

yes. both of those scenarios are possible. the hard drive way might not be as simple as it sounds... i never used an external hard drive. but i do have a cd drive & it works just fine.
but really, if you're getting an mpc now it'd be dumb not to get one with a multi-card reader. they pretty much make external hard drives & cd drives obsolete. i used to keep my sound library on cd & then use zip disks to save my beats. now i have a 1gig compact flash card for my sound library & a 512 card that holds all the beats im working on.
if you plan on getting a 2000xl then your external drive would have to be scsi which means you'd have to have a scsi port on your computer & all that is too much of a hassel. dont bother.
im not too sure how the 1000/2500/4000 work with the usb-to-computer thing but in theory they can access the folders on your computers drive. if thats true then why bother with an external drive just for the mpc? if you still insist then you'd better make sure the 1000/2500/4000 can access modern external drives. i'd hate for you to spend the $$ to find out they have to have scsi too.
if i were you i'd just cop the 2500 or the 1000. 1000 has full computer intergration. 2500 has computer intergration AND an internal hard drive
