Actually it was good to get a response like that. Like I have stated previously, I dont think the dude can do half of what i can anyway. And it just makes me work harder at what im doin...

Pas, not to get off flaming, your tracks have serious potential but they are missing something, maybe atmosphere or something they just seem so empty. work on killing the dead space unless thats your style i dunno, anyways yall can go back to flaming each other! just my .02

my buddy is a professional producer. His good friend, Jake, works for a major record company (no names). Jakes job is to listen demo cds in his office/studio and "Interpret" the hot beats over again for the company. Jake will replay them himself , edit and maybe do it just a little differently. Point of the story: Beware of that when sending large music companys music...

"Record company people are shadyyy"-Q Tip

oh yeah....thanks for the info Mike.

Paseone....some of those tracks were pretty nice but I agree with one other post...some of those comps need work...(so many cuttin' you up instead of using the forum for what it is) man, if a cat wants help and asks for it...wtf...but then again...some ish is all in jest...you take it in...may even have a laugh at it (the garbage disposal thing was funny) and then get down to business like your on....that ill bill track was a nice concept (cuttin and scratchin)...you should have stayed with the whole concept and revamped the whole thing as an ole' skool....after the intro it just dropped out...nice base format but that was it...it was empty...I don't have all the answers...I'm an ole' head that use to DJ...been a graphic designer for years f'd up my neck a few years back and had a lot of time on my hands and thought wtf...I started buying equipment...pulled out some old crates and I'm still fn with it...thank god my wife knows I'm lazy...I mean crazy...I mean living in a phantasy...I mean she knows what eva I do I can bring out the best in me lol...just keep doing what your doing...but if all you have is an mpc and raeman noodles in the cupboard...get a daytime job...rob a bank or get clipped by a city bus...I use to design a lot of ish for cats wanting to be the next fn prince...(exception "Ready For the World" MCA picked them up) other cats that had more than healthy egos, thinking they were stars and nobody knew them, neva humbled themselves, hated doing the footwork, didn't want to give anything away...so you can count a number of things that all pointed in the same direction...nowhere...so now I'm getting geared to set up this small studio to record mf's that want to be the next jim jones (too many hooked on the dipset lol...not hatin though) but for that, if you ain't buying time you ain't spittin a rhyme...that give away ish is aiight for some promo and networking but you gotta get creative to eat...those same dudes got a few dimes, drop a nickel...if the production is not great...market it as "promotional production"....I know I could design myself a media kit that would rival a corporate backed artist...but it won't mean ish to me until the quality and consistancy of the tracks are there...anyway, I'm here to learn too...nuff said from da ole' head
