THE PADS SO I CAN CREAT A SEQUENCE??? I READ THE MANUEL A FEW TIMES BUT, I AM LIKE A CHILD. I NEED TO BE TOLD IN THE SIMPLEST FORM.....HAHA

REALLY, I AM NOT THE SMARTEST PERSON, BUT I HAVE MORE HEART THAN THE AVERAGE....

CAN ANYONE EXPLAIN THE MULTI'S, PROG, EXT........

SHOULD I FORMATE THE WHOLE 4000 BEFORE STARTING.... I HAVE ONLY HAD 4K FOR 4 DAYS AND BECAUSE OF WORK, I HAVE HAD ABOUT 8 HOURS ON THE UNIT....

First, load samples. Press LOAD and load samples from HD to Mpc.
Then, press PROGRAM, then ASSIGN. Press a pad and use the jog in order to assign the sample you've loaded to a pad.
Go to the main page by pressing MAIN. Select the program where you've assigned the sample into Part.
At this point, you can start recording (REC+PLAY) a sequence and play with pads.

Make a Quick Format of the Hd before saving a sample for the first time. Press SAVE, then UTILITY and select QUICK FORMAT with the jog wheel.
Be careful, select the Hd (not a zip disk) before starting the format operation.

PROGRAM : in a program, you can assign samples, select which enveloppe you wish to use, make a keygroup...
PART : you can assign 127 programs to part in order to separate the samples (for example : program 1->drums, program 2->horns, program 3->violins,...) and assign a program per track.
MULTI : a multi can contain 127 Parts, save the effect assignation, ...
