Ok I finally got all my gear together to record vocals over the archive of beats I been storing up for 6 months. Here's the problem or situation:

I got a MPC 2000, Roland sound module, and a laptop w/ Acid. My USB Audio/Midi Interface is a Tascam US-122.

My way to make beats is to use MIDI out of my sound module to my MPC 2k. But now I wanna lay down vocals, so how do I

keep my sound module connected to my MPC 2k + connect it up to my

US-122 midi interface. Your response could spark a musical movement (joke)

i didn't hear you mention a mixer.

sounds like thats one piece of equipment you might need if you want to start recording vocals with all your equipment you got at the moment.

do a search feature on the site for tons of stuff on what & who mixer is good

i prefer Mackies myself

Plug your mic into one of the XLR-fed phantom-powered mic inputs
