Time stretched a loop from 80 - 90 bpm. Final result sounded all warlbled. Gave the sample to my homie to process in acid. Results sounded good. Is there a trick to time stretch or is a 10 bpm range asking too much?

Thanks

sup ddot.
I'd say a 10bmp change isnt to much to stretch a sample, i sometimes go much much higher than that ,but it depends on the material ur using and the tune/beats ur writng.
If ur not getting things rolling the way u like them check u have got the start and end points Nice and tight(zoom in)....in the sample page highlight "view" push window and check uve got a decent sample waveform display (u see?).
Never take the bpm in a name of a loop for the truth unless u named it.... lol.

Try 2 change the stretch Preset e.g speech and so on. cause some r more suited to rythmic samples and others to getting the best sound quality,E.g drumloops or pads ,...........
i normally find if i do all my trimming and Stretching in protools its tighter but the sound quality is nearly identical. i use the mpc nearly all of the time cause it is the thing i feel most happy with (u should'nt need to use a computer for decent results).
after u get the hang of that check out the Regions page and get Cutiing those loops.

good luck
