Maybe it is the SCSI fuse?

If this blows (as in open circuit) then no SCSI communication for your MPC.

A google search on ICP shows these fuses on the RS components website...

I was just guessing at what it was, based on the description you gave.

Maybe you should just ring VST and ask them directly?

Maybe it is something they found in their general service/checking routine for the MPC3000?

Maybe it is something that is broken, but doesn't cause problems with your SCSI setup?

well guess what i took it to forat in studio city and he fix it.honest cool man bruce fix the lcd and play and stop buttons.sorry vst is crooked.monopoly chit.go to forat he will fix it on the spot.i paid 175 dollars for lcd and inverter.10 bucks for two buttons.all that is left to fix is floopy and two soft keys.vst wanted more than 400 dollars for the same shit.

inverter's even easier. just a couple of solder joints.

well i was reading that a replacement invertor had to be rewired because it doesnt fit exactly like the original invertor for the 60.
have you changed yours out? i would be down to do it myself if it is easy.

my 60 is buzzing, but vst is backordered. my 3k used to buzz but it was a quick fix. i'll have to see how the new inverter fits on the 60 tho.
