4K Not Seeing my office Keyboard

Any one have any suggestions how to get my 4K to see my office keyboard so I can name my seq. etc. by typing instead of the old school way? I went into Global but I didn't see anything. Thanks.

Maybe you need to bring your MPC into the office!!!

There are no settings to make - any class complient USB 1.1 keyboard should work if you plug it in to the USB socket on the FRONT of the MCP4000
(as explained in the MPC4000 User Guide).

But pluggin it in is the easy part. Maybe someone else will see this thread give other suggestions thanks again.

When you say "Office" keyboard, are you referring to the connection interface "PS/2" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PS/2_connector or a brand of USB keyboard? Because if you are using a PS/2 to USB converter,http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=776087 it will not work.

I agree 100% with feline1 that the keyboard must be USB 1.1 compliant
and that all you need to do is to plug it in to the front USB "A" PORT(The rear port is a "B" slave port-used for the computer connection).-no drivers, no settings.

I know that for sure because it says it in the MPC4000 User Guide: it has to be USB 1.1 class complient.

If the "office keyboard" he is trying to use is not USB 1.1 class complient, then it will not work.

It's the other way round:
USB 1.1 is automatically complient with USB 2.0...
