still insulting and imagining BS! you're not seriously thinking this is intelligent? go try and reproduce bugs...at least one thing you're useful at.

When you are only working 2 hours a week, I guess its not so hard to stay booked. I can hook you up with an MPC 2000XL or 3000 if you really need an MPC that syncs to SMPTE for your movie scores.. I hate to hear about your continued issues with your MPC. I am a famed eBay seller, so I can move it for you and get a good price for it. PM me. I will hook you up.

I spoke to a good friend who's a works product distribution for GC. He tells me that nothing is known for sure and that there are no concrete facts on anything until NAMM 07. It seems that the features mention seem to more of the wishlist nature. I do hope there is a major product update coming from both camps.

Perhaps you could give us some trade listing that gives the future gameplan of either company. I really like to know what's coming before it hits.

I have had an MPC2000 since 97 and I notice that Akai really doesn’t care about people they just care about your money. I notice some people on here calling people out because they are saying what’s on their mind. Well guess what for the people who don’t like to hear other peoples remarks and just keep there mouth close, Akai loves you. They do have people on this forum to see what you guys are talking about.

If I buy a DVD movie and it doesn’t work the way it suppose to then I should be able to take the movie back and get one that works. The same way with Akai if they keep selling stuff that doesn’t work you shouldn’t buy it because they’re going to take your money and run with it. People need to understand the only way you can make these companies make update is to not buy the next thing they sell.

Akai is going to go under if they keep treating people like paychecks. If you don’t mind that then just send me your money and I won’t reply to you or give you any updates. This is why I only have the MPC2000 and got the MV. I still have my MPC2000 and use it but I got my money out of Roland then I ever did from Akai. I am not talking about MPC vs MV, I am talking about customer service period.

Akai the only way I will come back is if you get your OS updates back to par.

I purchased MPC 2000, 2000XL, 3000, 3000 LE, 4000, and 2500 in my lifetime. I made multiple purchases of several of those. I was no disappointed with any of those. For the most part, actual users of those MPCs are happy. I can't speak for the people that don't actually own these MPCs.

But I do agree. If you don't like an Akai product, simply return it and don't buy another. Too much talk on the forum about how people are unhappy about their MPCs (mostly coming from a single group). Akai didn't commit any fraud. You paid for a machine. It came with a warranty from Akai..and most likely, I warranty from the place your purchased it from. If it didn't meet your expectations, you could have simply returned it.

Real26 :
I agree , i hate the trend of using customers as beta-testers to debug the os/software , you can see it all around , even cubase .
they fix the ones they think are worth fixing and then release a new version leaving the previous one unfinished.
Buying the new version isn't a solution either because that version is going to introduce a whole new batch of bugs.
I mean , imagine buying a car with 6 gears , after driving around for a few hours you notice that you can't shift to sixth gear , you go back to the shop and the manager tells you " yeah , really sorry but we are working on an update for that right now"

I don't know how these companies test their products but they should try a different approach , would save them a lot of angry customers.

if i ever buy another MPC i'm going to wait until it's completely bug free , even if it takes them 3 years.
I make music because i like making music and every time i come across these error's the fun is starting to change into more of a chore.

I don't know , maybe i'm being ignorent here cause i don't really know how things work inside these company's but customer satisfaction should be their number one priority.
And like they say "The customer is allways right"
