All I've been hearing lately is people complaining about the new OS bugs. About a month ago I was really amped about getting this machine but I kinda backed off due to the bugs. Are the bugs that bad?.. If anything I can go for the new blue 2000xl. feedback please..thanks

Just do a little bit of reading on this forum and decided for yourself how bad the bugs are. If you dont use the functions or are able to work around them, you should be fine. I love my 2500. I dont have any trouble with the bugs. They will be fixed soon. You could wait until winter NAMM and see what Roland and Akai are offering, then make a decision. If you do get a 2500, make sure that you DO NOT come here and **** about the bugs. We have enough of that from a few people as it is.

Co-sign.

The people that are complaining about the OS in the 2500, don't really use it at all.

that's quite a strange statement. your logic, is that people who complain about some bugs don't really use their machine? this is nonsense.

the file corruption and mtc bugs exist and are a pita until they are fixed.

is the file corruption bug when ur loading a program and then it says somethin like "lost file" and then half ur program isnt there?

Again....how many threads will you show up in and say the exact same thing. You should make your crying into your signature. That way, you can just respond to everythread without typing anything. Just use file corruption and MTC bug as your signature.

By the way...I can't remember the last time I had these issues..and unlike you, I actually use my MPC everyday....

MPC2500 has bugs? Who? where? why? :)
Honestly tho, any bugs that the 2500 has right now hasn't really effected me. And if your willing to buy a new 2000XL over a new 2500, you need to remove that bug out your head. Even with the issues, the 2500 is a MUCH better machine, and this is coming for someone that LOVED (and still do) the 2000XL.

Get it - you won't be dissapointed, if you are 100% certain that the MPC can fufil your needs. Can't stress that enough - you should know what you are buying before you buy it.
Go to a shop, do a few tests and have a play. If your local store wont let you, then get yourself off to somewhere that does.
Plus there is supposed to be a new OS in Jan which will hopefully iron out the remaining issues. Which arent really bugs. Not in the sense that you'll lose work or that there are missing features etc.

See if you can grab that free memory offer - some places are offering free memory and CD drives somewhere on the net.

Optimus Primo, you will notice that the same bozo pops up in everythread talking sh!t about the MPC 2500. This is a community of MPC 2500 users (or at least it use to me). If you decide to get an MPC 2500, you will not be disappointed. What ever you do..listen to the feedback from actual MPC 2500 users..... disregard that flaming bundle of sticks.

I 2nd that. I love the 2500. I really doubt that you would be disappointed and those of us who actually use the 2500 know the proper way to use it without hassle which is very easy. Buy it then come back here for your info. It's not that major mane.
