Audio or Data???

i just got my cd-rom, and i haev a DATA cd full off just blaze and kanye drums/samples...

but it wont read it, and if i put in one of the CDs that came with the cd-rom the pc wont read them...

wtf do i do???

Your PC will need the correct program necessary to read your "data" file. Alot of this depends on your OS. XP pro for example, will prompt you to search the web for the correct program if it can't find it on your system. What kind of "Data" file is it? What OS are you using?

i have XP media, and i burned a data CD full of Wave sounds (samples snears kicks) and the mpc can read it, and if i take the cds that came with teh cd-rom, the pc cant read those...

Try transferring a sound to your PC. Check the file extension. Try re-naming it to read" _____.wav".

when the Cd is mounted under windows :

can you read the contents of the cd : does it show any files ?

if no, well you have probably bought an unsupported file format for windows ( such as akai cd and so on) then you will need the proper tool for extracting the data on the Cd : CDXtract for example, translator pro etc etc....

it will extract data from the cd to your pc's hd in a readable format (generaly ppl choose waves. along with the programs file (.pgm, .sp3, .... the format is specifed in the utility you are using)

but what about burning a cd so i can load the sound to the mpc off it?

If they are .wav's , your PC should read them. What is the file extension?
