chopping with recycle 2???

alright why is it that when you chop your samples to pieces using recyle it adds some extra sound at the end??? It sounds like an echo or reverb being added at the end of the sounds.It also adds extra time. Am I doing something wrong????

I dont see any stretch knob and sometimes when I save the chopped up it should saved as chopped but I only get 1 sample with the **** up chopped sounds! what the hell man do I gotta know how many bars a sample has aswell??? what if it is a melody and I have no idea how much bar it is??????

Bars aren't what notes etc are played, its length/time in ticks.
4 ticks/nods/foot taps =1bar

true true but this one Im trying to chop is too busy(melodies) I cant even count how many notes where played!!!!!!


thanks for helpin out. I think Im gonna use recycle as often as soundforge!!! quick chop on recycle then finish with soundforge. NICE!!!!

No matter how difficult the melodie, you should always be able to count the bars. The number of notes being played has nothing to do with it.
Think of a 50 piece orchestra, they could well be playing a few hundred notes at a time but it's pretty easy to count the bars.
Just count 1-2-3-4 just like the metronome on your mpc.

I get what youre saying, actually I know how to count bar its just that I thought u had to be precise like say 2 bars and 3/4 beats when you put down the bars on recycle.... turned out that it was just the STRETCH knob on 40%stretch...

That is there so that Recycle can generate a proper midi file to go along with the chopped sample. I use the midi file quite often as a starting point in the MPC.
