...did anyone with mtc problems actually read the official akai manual addendum for os 1.22? there are some statements about sync issues when using mtc. they suggest at least one blank bar at the beginning - and, depending on what gear is involved, a sync chase time up to 30(!) seconds, before the actual recording begins.
did anyone try these suggestions? because some of you may not have this kind of patience, like some of the posts clearly show... :?

That's not just Akai. Most (if not all) companies that have devices that sync via Midi advises adding bars to the beginning of recorded material to allow time for different pieces of gear to sync properly.

And your response has made things better? You could have kept that to yourself ??? However, I am sorry if you can't learn from the things that were posted in this thread. In between the BS, there is some useful info.

Maybe he can add the key mapping on the next update? Don't know why this feature keeps getting overlooked! The 4K does it why not the 2500?

Because the 4000 is a complete sampler and the 2500 isn't...

For The Price on these things it should be on there. If enough people complained about it then they would add it. I guess there are more people sampling now days than playing actual sounds. I hope JJ sees this thread and at least try to work it in the next update. Thanks.

Does the JJ os allow you to send tracks to one of the 8 outs, rather than just pads. So in that case you wouldnt have to resample all your synth melodies into the mpc and then send to the 8 outs? I though i rember reading that somewher in the forum.

The short answer: No, but there are workarounds.

The long answer: No. Although JJ's OS does make it easier to send multiple pads (or whole programs) to separate outs. If you organise your programs correctly, that still means you can effectively send different tracks to different outputs. The only problem would arrise if you used the same sample, from the same program, on two different tracks. That sample could only go to one output. However, it's easy to assign the same sample to a different pad or program and the problem is solved.
