am i an idiot or just stupid- programs with a ? w/ no sounds

ok, i make the new program, i audition and assign sounds, i go back to my main page and...... NOTHING. the program name has a ? in front of it and none of the sounds are assigned. what am i doing wrong? and then i have 2 copies of the new program, none have storedsounds and i can only delete one of them.

am i the only one with these new os problems or am i completely clueless and i should stick to real drums?
