Anyone else notice that if you record some midi, in or out of grid edit and then switch back to main or back to grid (depending on where you started) you loose the recording you just made? Seems that if you stop the sequencer you don't loose it.

Sorry this one isnt really a bug, just a little different in version 4.20c

1. Record in midi grid edit screen. -> midi notes are selectable for editing
2. Switch to main screen.
3. Switch back to midi grid edit screen. -> midi notes are now not selectable.

This does not occur in version 4.20

1. hit OverDub
2. move cursor to note
3. hit F4 to delete
4. the cursor will jump back to 1.01.01 instead of the next note. If auto increment is on, it will go to the next increment following 1.01.01

A temporary workaround is to select more than one note holding tap tempo before you hit delete, it'll remember your place then. single note deletes will have it flying back to 1.01.01

Ok. I think I'll give this one a try as the MIDI grid edit looks good. But I'm quite disappointed JJ took away program change and bank change on main screen. I'll try 4.20 and play with this new grid edit and realtime qlink to see what it's like. I know I've been begging for MIDI grid edit, however, I think I'll be using 4.15 in the long run as love the program and bank change on main screen feature and heavily depend on it as it speeds up my workflow when sequencing external MIDI instruments. Entering program change events into step edit is too time consuming and inconvenient for me, so I guess it's a matter of making a compromise on what feature is more important. Unless program change and bank select on main screen is reimplemented in a future update, I think I'll be sticking with 4.15. Either way, nice work JJ. Thanks for the extra features.

Old fashion Step Edit is kind of weird now. Sometimes I'll move an event in time and it will move the next event, or the second-to-last event.

Ok. I finally tried out 4.20 and I must say that MIDI grid editing is sic!!!! I still won't sacrifice my main screen program chang & bank select though. Darn I wish I could have both!!!!!!! I don't see why they had to remove program change though. The only reason I can see for JJ removing it would be if main screen program change was causing problems when implementing the MIDI grid editing function, but I don't really see how that could conflict. If there's not any other restriction, I hope they can bring back program change and bank change in the future. Until then, 4.15 is king!!!!! For me that is.

midi editing kicks ass! Hitting overdub and watching the length of not grow on the screen is so musical!
