1000 or 2000xl

Hi, im thinkin in buy my first mpc!
what u recommend:

mpc 1000
or
mpc 2000xl

1-What are the differences from both?

2-what of those got more features?

3-what u think, for the first time buyin a mpc?

1. the mpc1000 has a lot more features and is cheaper in price, but it is very cheaply built. the 2000xl is a very tuff, durable, proffesional feeling machine, but is very limited, you gotta get it pimped out for it to be a good machine, cuz out the box it only comes with 10 sec. sample time, only 2 main outs, only fx are pan and low pass filter.

I would suggest the 1000.

I wouldn't go as far as to say the 2kxl is limited, I mean the 60 is limited but the 2kxl is just missing a few things that the 100 has. i would say go for the 2kxl for the build quality, tilt screen, tight workflow, and not to mention it's a hella of a lot sexier than the 1000.

well......damn, the 2000xl is a badass machine no doubt.
But the lack of internal effects really stinks, i mean out the box on the 1000 you got compression and a 4-band EQ for no extra charge, that alone has me sold on getting one.
But yeah....eventually im gonna drop some bills on the EB-16 card...i gotta if i want some serious effects options.
But i will cop the 1000 soon, simply because im an MPC freak.

anyone know if the new 1000 the red and blue one...does it have the same poorly glued pad issues as the first all black one??

blue is the older one, black the newer, but they both have the same pads.

dont be too discouraged tho, i have a blue 1k i bought used about a yr ago and its fully functional no problems ye t still lovin it.

exactly a year back i asked the same exact question... i ended up buying a 2kxl and im lovin it....
mpc machines are all good but they all have little differences...
ipersonnally like the feel of the 2kxl pads mor ethen the 1000
ppl told me that if ure more of a hands on kind of guy get the 2kxl and if ure more of a computer guy get the 1000
but trust me ... no matter which one u buy ure still gonna have that same mpc quality that u wont find in other machines
