Do you have the 8 outs, cause you could always route to a pair of those until you get it fixed.
Maybe a little funky with Mono samples though, just a thought.

I just got off the phone the parts to fix it will be about 14-15 bucks. However with the problem you mentioned it might be something further down the line that is causing the sound to be weak. Do you have an 8 output board? If you are getting a good sound there then there is hope that its not nothing expensive, I"m tracking down a service manual for a 2kxl now.

im not letting my mpc go , im keeping it!!! i got a good deal on it ...fully loaded for $800 from guitar center , 8 outs effects and extra sample time, i wanna fix it myself but it looks hard to fix , looks like i have to take out the motherboard to get to the stereo plugs and im not trying to do that , we have a studio equipment tech down here but he said it mite take about three weeks for me to get it back and im not waiting that long to get my mpc back , i got work to do.

oh yeah about using the 8 outs , i don't like using the 8 outs because they sound too loud and i dont have a 8 or 16 out mixer to hook it up to , im using a dj mixer for right now until i get a fire wire rack, i only use 8 outs if im in a studio mixing down the track

testing the 8 outs was just to see if anything else might be wrong. You can get it fixed pretty easy, its just a matter of if you are up to the task.

i can fix audio eqiupment pretty eazy but , i just never tried to fix a mpc2000xl before , since it has so many shells protecing it , i just wanted to make sure i dont mess anything up on it.

f-u jaem, i was trying to fnd a more comfortable place to put the thing
while i made beats but i see the cmputer keyboard shelf doesnt hold over 10 pounds , so you can go somewhere else with that homeboy , what you got as equipment anyway , i bet you just started making beats huh?, you a rookie huh?
