MPC500 : Tempo problem ?!

Hi everybody,

I am a french MPC newbie using a 500.
I have a question concerning the use of this little wonder,
I play a rythm using pads (2 mesures) in the cadence,
while playing it after recording beats are placed differently, is it normal ?

Do you have quantization on?
If so, what is it set to?
Are you playing in that setting? (ie 16th notes)
