whats the weriodist crate diggin tech u've used?

besides just reaching in the crate and pulling out a vinyl to use whats the weriodist way u've chose which vinyl to use?

Some times i look in and pick by the oldist year..or i grab 3 throw em up in the air and close my arms and which one i grab i use....dont act like im the only weriod one here

I like to grab a lot of one hit wonders, cause u know their tracks dont get no rotation no more, so theres a lot of treasures to be sampled

I go by the pictures than the song titles

if it's from 70 - 75 on CTI or just an old one with a fit woman on the front, you've got breaks

I find that albums that have covers with pictures of Landscapes or the stars are always good... They usually have like a picture that takes up 90 percent of the cover then a white border with the title of the album in real Plain print in the white border... They usually are the ones that I go for even if I can't here the actual record... I can't tell you why but those albums just speak to me...

Also I look for Folk singers from the 60s that no ones heard about... I did that once and picked up an album that was sampled on Cam'ron's Roc-A-Fella debut album (I forget the name of the album)...

The lesson here is never diss a record cause you might find some hit shit on the dumbest lookin records...

If I'm in a thrift store I just go for the oldest looking ones. Like the ones from UK somewhere.

Or sometimes I just grab a whole crate not even checking what's in it. There has to be a gem or two in there.

It's not the rich boy technique at a thrift store. You could probably get a whole crate for $5-10.

Rich boy technique is going to record conventions and spending a $100 on a joint or even more. Now that's rich boy technique for your @$$

some good books, just picked up 'O Primo da BrisaBrasileira' and highly recommend it.

study up and you can find a lot of these used places.

stuff i wouldn't have looked at twice is playn out.

i look at the facial expressions that the artist is making on the cover.lol
if it is serious or somewhat angry i usually cop the record.

I just take all the Raped albums that my boys sampled ta death, and scratched up and gave up on, and usually I ca find, drum kits, and anything else on it, I friggin use VHS tapes, once I recorded a couple CDRs off of digital cable and stole some ill sounds from nickelodeon, the main thing is, while most cats, use their samplers like revolvers, or worse slingshots, I always try to freak the machine and fire off anti-gravity blood-flow reversing samurai death cannons from mars...
filters are our friends! I ca sample todays top ten and freak it, and you'll never recognize the songs.

also you gotta dig 7"s and take em to the player the hits are right there....

suunaq sounds like the akufen radio technique- record 10 mins of flicking through commercial radio stations and sample and mangle the results...
