the free 128mb chip

Has anyone received the memory from akai yet? Just wondering. I might have to end up copping one b4 it gets here if its gonna be a long wait.

Hey just to let you know I went through the same thing when I was waiting on my free ram for the Mpc 2500.I debated going out and buying some because I was tried of waiting.I'm glad I didn't. Although it did take quite a while for it to show up(8 or 10 weeks), it was worth the wait. I heard a fella' on these forum say he got his in 1 week after sending it off....but who know's he could have been lying.

hey guys, i just got my EXM128, UPS just delivered it. no BS its for real. I even called AKAI number this morning and talked to the girl who is in charge of this shipments, i think her name was Heather. Anyways, she told me its gonna be delivered today and gave me the tracking number.

When did you send in your paperwork.

sent paperwork on Nov 28th. they got it on Dec 4th, and from the package slip it looks like they sent it out on Dec 8th. it was pretty quick man, i was getting ready to wait for like 3 months.
oh here, on the slip there is the name of the girl in charge of this:
Heather Hosker. if you call the Akai number, just ask for her i guess, or tell em why you're calling and they will transfer you to her.

i just got my ram upgrade and it's busted! the mpc crashes with weird things on the display when it's installed. take it out and it's fine. i'm pretty familiar with installing ram and tried to re-seat it a bunch but no luck. i guess it got zapped maybe. bummer. now i have to figure out a way to get it back to them for exchange. hopefully my ram expansion slot is not faulty.
oh and it took about 3 weeks for it to come.

^^Wow that stinks.......hopefully you can contact them and let them know what happened, you may want to try calling them though because I tried to contact them with some question via e-mail and they've never responded.

i sent my form in about 5 weeks ago, and I just called akai and they said i was not in the system,and to try back in a week to see if they got to mine. Damn, it looks like i will be buying it and just using the freebie as a back up in case need be.
