I'm using a Novation K station with the Sync on the K Station set to external. The Midi Clock sync on the MPC4K is set correctly to control the delay BPM on the Novation -
It's all working fine except I'm hearing an echo-back...a real nasty snapping sound from the Novation. The OS on the novation has been updated. I've contacted novation about a soft thru on/off on the keyboard which typically would handle this problem, and supposedly turning the Local control off functions as a soft thru on. This is another letter I got from them:
..."the issue is most likely that the MIDI clock coming from the MPC is jittering around. This will cause the delay time to be recalculated and a new delay algorithm to be loaded each time a new tempo is detected. To do this, the old delay has to be ramped down very rapidly in order to load the new settings and this is what causes the click..."
That alone was tough to make sense of -
The 4K offers no soft thru control.
Anyone?
