still having trouble syncing my mpc 1000 and pro tools?

im still having trouble syncing my mpc 1000 and pro tools(m-box 2)...digidesign tech support says its a pro tools driver problem because for some reason i select the mtc box but i cant select the m-box 2 port in session>time code settings...if anyone else has had this problem and could tell me how they resolved it that would be great.......thanks

which OS are you using on the mpc? if you still have the official 2.1 release from akai, then you can't sync using mtc. you have to use beat clock in pro tools. if you are using the latest JJ OS, then you have to select mtc on the mpc

im using the akai official os....theres still something wrong with my m-box 2 port though? coz i should be able to select it right? so even if i get the jj os it still mite not work...r u using the jj os? is everything kool wid it? i asked in the jj os forum but no one answered......
