MPC1000 with Proteus 2000

I saw a thread concerning the same issue i was haveing in the 2500 thread but didnt seem to help. My issue is that i recenty bought a proteus2000 of ebay, and i assume i have everything hooked up correctly, but i still get no sound. mpc1000 midi out -> proteus2000 midi in. I hit a pad an see the midi light blink on the proteus, but no signal is sent to my mixer. Right now i think it may not be compatible with my 1000 for some reason. Any help will be greatly appriciated. Thanks

Yes mam I have all that hooked up correctly. It may also be that the proteus isnt programed correctly. I dont have the latest proteus OS im using the 1.24OS that it came with. Ive been reading the manual, but im still hoping its user error on my part an not the moduel.

does the proteus make noise on its own?

is the MPC set to send data on the channel the proteus is set up to receive?

is ure track on midi and do u select the right device on ure drum machine?

As far as my mpc1k & mixer goes, everything i think is set up fine. Im leaning toward the proteus settings. Should my 'MIDI SYSEX ID' be set to something beside 000, or is that only for if you have two pro2k? From my understaqnding of the manual. Thanks

did you check to see if sound was coming out of the headphone jack and did you check the master menu to see if the channels are going to the main outs?
