I guess it dependsin the sounds youare looking for..when I want synths and moogs, I dig 80's records. When I want that vintage soul Im all in the 70's. I gotta look that album up..you got me curious.

yo, they dont teach us a damn thing about hip hop, let alone music history at all, i just got hooked from hearin the real hip hop in grade school, comin from the detroit area we defenitly are around the music culture and TONS of people are involved with hip hop, so its defenitly good comin up around here

i got expelled from high school last year for hip hop, over a song i produced, thats a different story but i wont bore anyone with it unless they want to know

most teachers are as smart as they're ever going to be by the time they're 20...that's why they become teachers. A 20 year old "teaching hiphop" (whatever that means) will be just as effective as a 40 year old...

and the whole "you had to be there" thing is pretty beat... men can be gynecologists, etc... just gotta know your stuff...which, sadly, most teachers do not...

my point is that they aint teachin them where it started and the foundations to it,hwho started it and all that ...and pac and biggie didnt start nothing it was here before they where in it,
all i'm saying is teach them the roots of where it started how it started,
