How to export MPC60 sequence?

Hello,

i'm french, excuse me if it's not a really good english...
I have a mpc60 and i don't know how to export my sequence (i want to create a midi file with my mpc60 and export this file to my S6000 Akai....i want to export sequence files and not samples) . Could you help me please

If your MPC60 is equipped with the Roger Linn Design 3.10 operating system then you can use his free to download SEQ<>MID converter tool.

The best way would be to purchase the 3.XX upgrade from Roger Linn Design and then use his freeware conversion utilities to perform MID<>SEQ conversions.

Alternate methods.

Method 1:

In your case. You would need to use an additional SEQUENCER ( HARDWARE/PC/MAC/ATARI/LINUX ) that reads/writes MIDIFILES. Sequences playing from the MPC60 would have to be recorded via MIDI into this other SEQUENCER. Sequences recorded in this other SEQUENCER would then be saved as MIDI FILES for use within your S6000.

Method 2:

Borrow an MPC60 with a newer OS ( or an MPC3000 ) and perform the conversion.

Method 3:

Maybe a list member with a MPC60 V3.XX OS equipped machine could perform the conversion for you.
