I want new pads too cause the ones I have are messed and there is no point in throwing cash in the garbage for just a quick fix.

AKAI, do your JOB! And you'll get paid for it.

Again, this design flaw should have never occured in the first place as you advertise how great the pads are. I won't sue you for this, just do a better job if you want to keep your brand name. If not, you'll just end up like Sony and Mercedes, all going down the drain.

Cheers,
Pawel

Think of what a "recall" would do. If Akai did that and everything went well, their customer-loyalty would rise tenfold. And not to mention the word-of-mouth-praise.

But that ain't gonna happen. They probably don't have the dependable labor to do that sh'iet.

Might as well come on with a $35 sheet of pads!!! *ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding!*

I quoted the following in another thread in the MPC 500 forum:

Now that the MPC 1000 is now no longer the cheapest MPC on the market, I think the pad design should be revised. Akai should at least sell the new 1000s with the original pad designs like in the other MPCs and offer current 1000 users "upgrade kits" complete with installation instructions. If they don't do that, they would be ruining what otherwise would be a great machine. To tell you the truth, I think they should've done that as soon as they started making the black 1000s.

akai, dammit, do it or i will

oh wait, i will anyway

however, i'm gonna say this already - if akai releases an interlink-style fsr sensor sheet for the 1k, it's gonna be better than anything i put together for the existing hardware

but it'll probably cost 10x more...
