Is there a certain internal setting that needs to be on in order for the digital out to work? In the manual it states that the stereo out signal is output through the digital out, and the normal stereo outs are working fine, so I am confused. I have the MPC set to "Digital" in record mode, too.

I have a Y cable coming out of the MPC's digital out, and a normal stereo rca cable plugged into that adapter, and that cable going into the L and R "tape ins" of my behringer kx1200 (keyboard amp/pa). I have tried using only the lefts and rights... tried without the Y cable, ect. Nothing works. There is no optional setting on the kx1200 to adjust, either. It's 1/4 inputs work fine.

Thanks in advance for any advice you may have ;)

is only for digital inputs. All it is sending is 1's and 0's. You need to have a digital input on your mixer to translate the bits to audio.

Or use the digital out to dump your songs to the harddrive on your PC if you have a digi in on it.

The kx1200 has digital inputs, which are included specifically for reading drum machines and tape players with digital outs, ect :(

Not looking for a PC solution... this is for live sound. Thanks for advice nonetheless, though :)

The ins you are using are line level. The Digital out on the MPC is just 1 cable that will run to the Digital in on your mixer or PC if you have one. Just get some 1/4 inch cables and run them from the main outs on the MPC to the inputs on the amp.

Thanks Troma ;)

I don't have a 1/4 to rca adapter, so I fished out a little mixer and just ran a 1/4 into it and then ran the rcas from the mixer to the tape in on the amp, and it works fine now. I mistakenly thought the digital outs on the mpc were basically the same as the analog out, just digital. Not the first time an assumption got the best of me.

Thanks again!
