too small chops for realtime recording

I have a annoying problem.
Just recordet a new sample, and had to make tiny chops.
Therefore I have a majour problem recording the chops in realtime.
So could anyone please tell me howto manualy program the chops since normally I would bang the pads in realtime.
I definitely cant seem to figure out what way is the better for programmin the chops manually.

downpitch them and slow your tempo?
i know what you're saying about smallllll small chops and it being hard to recreate the pattern because they'er so small

but it's a practice thing
if you spend enough time working on it you'll get it.

or you can input them in step edit.

step edit sounds like what Im looking for.
but I dont understand howto use it though, so is there anyone in here who has a indepth tutorial on step edit?
