Hooking MPC 2k to mixer to computer

Ive been searching the forum, and I couldnt find the correct answer to this ?. How do I hook my mpc to my mixer, and then to my m-audio soundcard, so that I can send my songs to the computer. Also what a pretty easy program, to record on my computer with? Thanks! 1!

there's a few different ways. the most straight forward way is

- mpc main outs OR indiv. outs (if you have them) to mixer inputs.
- mixer main outs (may not be called "Main" but you get the picture, right?) to soundcard input.


the way i do it now is..

- mpc indiv. outs to mixer channels 1-10
- mixer tape out to soundcard input
- soundcard output to mixer tape in
- mixer control room outs to Monitors

very simple. Input means audio coming IN. Output means audio going OUT. with that said, it should be pretty straight forward on how to connect your gear.

well i got Acid and Auditin for free.... those a good programs IMO.

but i dont use a mixer to rec my beats, i do it the ghetto way...

personally guys might laugh but i use soundforge.. lol make my tracks in my mpc then manually go to the track mute option and just bring in or mute the tracks live... lol
i personally aint gonna invest in a computer program.... im gonna get myself a workstation cuz i am not the computer software kind of guy lol
