Does anybody here have the Even EZBus... I do, but I don't have the EZ8 Card... my question is od I need that card... It's a PCI Card right... so what it does is seperate the EZBus into 8 seperate tracks when recording through the USB port...

Like if I were recording in ProTools with the EZ8 card... What I'm recording on the computer through input 1 on the EZBus is actually seperated from what I'm recording through input 2 on the EZBus... If this is the way it works I definitely need this and the 8 Outs for my MPC... Then my whole recording process will be so much simpler...

Please straighten out any myths that I've stated above... I'm a little lost???

I always thought the EZ Bus can record 8 separate tracks thru USB... wow i am glad I didn't drop 600 bucks on one to find this out...

the EZ8 card just compliments the EZBus. The EZBus can stand alone you don't have to have the PCI card. The card does have ADAT optical I?O on it though. That allows you to transfer 8 tracks simultaneously to your multi-tracking software. I use the EMU 1212M and Behringer Digital 8 to do the exact same thing.

The EZ8 will allow you to record eight tracks at once but not into Pro Tools(PT only works with Digi hardwrae). You can use it with plenty of other software though, Sonar, Cool Edit Pro, Cubase, etc. However, you can use the EZBus as a controller for PT, faders, transport, etc.(look Ma, no mouse)
